Eligibility Check

Answer six questions about the vehicle.

The quiz follows the same facts an attorney reviews first: when the vehicle was delivered, how serious the defect is, how many repair attempts were made, and how long it sat unavailable.

Six questions

Nothing is sent anywhere. The result appears on this page.

1. Was the vehicle delivered new, or as a demonstrator, within the coverage window?

24 months in Florida. 2 years or 18,000 miles in New York.

2. Was it purchased or long-term leased in Florida or New York?
3. Does the defect affect the vehicle's value, safety or function?

A rattle in the trim is not the same as a stalling engine.

4. Has it been back three or more times for the same defect, still unresolved?

Different defects do not add up. It has to be the same one.

5. Has the vehicle been out of service for 30 or more days in total?

Cumulative, not consecutive. New York counts 30 days.

6. Do you have the repair orders from those visits?

This quiz is general information, not legal advice, and no attorney-client relationship is created by using it.

What the Quiz Checks

The six facts that decide a claim.

A yes on all six is a strong signal. A no on one of them does not end the matter — federal warranty law can still apply.

01

Delivery Date

State Lemon Law rights run from delivery. Florida gives 24 months; New York gives 2 years or 18,000 miles.

02

How It Was Sold

The state process is aimed at qualifying new and demonstrator vehicles purchased or long-term leased in the state.

03

Severity of the Defect

The issue generally needs to materially affect value, safety or function rather than being a minor annoyance.

04

Repair Attempts

Repeat visits for the same unresolved defect are the core of the record. Different defects do not add up.

05

Days Out of Service

Cumulative days the vehicle was held for repair or unavailable to the owner can carry a claim on their own.

06

The Records

Repair orders with dates, mileage and the written complaint are what turn a story into evidence.

Quiz said no? It is still worth a look.

About the Quiz

Questions people ask before taking it.

The quiz is a first filter, not a legal opinion. These answers explain what it can and cannot tell you.

Ask Us Directly ↗
It tells you whether the facts fit the pattern the law recognises. Whether a claim succeeds depends on the records, the warranty terms and the manufacturer's response, which only a review of the actual documents can address.
After the Quiz

Want someone to read the repair orders?

The quiz is a first filter. Send the vehicle details and the repair history for a real review.
